Everyone in this category says they tested twenty divers. We have not handled any of them, and we say so on every page rather than in a disclaimer at the bottom.
What we did instead: compiled every published specification from Seiko’s own documentation, cited the standards those figures reference — ISO 6425 for divers, ISO 22810 for water resistance — pulled current prices from the retailer, and showed the arithmetic. Every one of those is something you can check, which is the point. A testing claim you cannot verify is worth less than a method you can.
Two consequences you will notice. Every pick carries a “skip this one if”, because a page that never recommends against anything is not recommending at all. And where a price cannot be verified live, the button reads “Check price” instead of showing a number — 124 products on this site have a price verified Jul 24, 2026, and the rest show nothing rather than something stale.
The full methodology sets out how picks are selected, in the order the criteria are applied.
